In over forty years of continuing research, Page Aerospace has developed a wide selection of cockpit-installed equipment. The present range includes ergonomically-designed control column handles, control wheels, mini-sticks, throttle grips, landing gear controls and engine fire shut-off switches.

Recent developments in advanced digital flight control systems now enable combat aircraft designers to take advantage of manoeuvrability criteria previously thought impossible. This, in turn, has placed severe limitations on pilot hand movement under high-g conditions and led to the HOTAS philosophy wherein all important controls are grouped on the throttle or stick top. Page Aerospace has been involved in this concept from its inception, and is now in a pre-eminent position to supply these products as a result of a major development contract for the SAAB-SCANIA Gripen aircraft. The Gripen mini-stick incorporates position sensors, torque generating springs and passive damping.

In the mid-seventies, Page developed the first of a range of high-integrity engine fire shut-off switches for commercial aircraft. The success of these can be gauged by the fact that they are now supplied to Boeing for use in all current models, as well as in a number of other civil aircraft in Europe and South America. These precision switches can be provided with or without illuminated warnings as well as Page sunlight readable filters to ensure visibility in the highest cockpit ambient lighting conditions.
