Lighting Controls and Dimmer Units Power Supplies High Stability High Efficiency

From a considerable background experience in cockpit lighting and displays, the Company has developed a wide range of discrete, solid state dimmers suitable for operation from aircraft AC and DC power systems. The range covers all requirements for electroluminescent and incandescent panel lighting and includes a number of units with high power handling capability for searchlight control.

Dimmers are available in a variety of designs offering single, twin and multi-channel mixed dimming configurations. Design philosophies employ a broad spectrum of technologies and trade-offs including control of moderate and high output powers, use of switching techniques to optimise efficiency and thermal design, electromagnetic interference, reliability and maintainability.

The need to provide switch-mode power supplies (SMPS) as integral functions of Page digital systems products has generated an important product base in power conversion, comprising self contained SMPS and static inverters. Many topologies have been developed by the Company's expert engineers who have particular expertise in the areas of EMC, control/power circuit design, minimisation of power losses, loop stability and suppression of switching noise, together with meeting severe specification requirements with minimum size and weight. Multiple output SMPS are currently supplied to Panavia Tornado, Alenia/Aermacchi/Embraer AMX and Boeing AWACS programmes, amongst others.
